- Previous submersible hydrostatic transmitter would 'rag' up every month or two which required 2 people to perform maintenence on the confined space area and clean it as best they could, which you can imagine isnt a very desirable job. (yes that is a torch stuck underneath the ladder!)
Solution:
- We installed a pulsar DB10 attached to an Ultra 3 to take care of the level measurement and pump control. After some configuration via a laptop we successfully got the unit tracking the water through the small gap in the concrete. The waste water sinks around 2.5m below the concrete landing which makes it one of the more difficult applications for an ultrasonic unit. The good news is this wet well will now be maintenence free for a whole lot longer than the hydrostatic transmitter.

The ultra 3 mounted in the pump house.
