28/07/09 Sewage Flow Monitoring   Problem -High installation costs and limited space prevented Magnetic flow meters from being installed in rising mains pipe lines for flow monitoring. Solution: - We installed a BFS Shark Ultrasonic flow system into the pit. The sensors were installed to the outside of the pipe, meaning flow did not need to be disrupted while installing. Smaller upstream and downstream straight pipe diameter requirements meant the meter could be used in limited space.
